Introduction - Doing It Real Big

I wanted to wait until Lich King was dead before beginning my blog. That feat was accomplished this week and with that weight off of my shoulders, my head is once again clear for the formulation of thoughts. It's about 4:20 AM on May 6th. I'm tired of sifting through my music library to find the perfect tracks for our Heroic Lich King video and attempting to write an introductory blog post seems like a good distraction. Also, Killars' POV has not fully downloaded.

Just to be clear, there is no planned "focus" for this blog. I won't be guaranteed to give you my awesome and inevitably undisputable thoughts on upcoming Cataclysm talents. Don't come here expecting unparalleled priest insight and wisdom all of the time. You'll be sorely disappointed if you were hoping for any kind of theorycrafting and I'll be the last one to attempt to stumble through your inapplicable napkin math. What you can expect is unique commentary about WoW's design and raiding theory. Insight as to the inner workings of a guild such as ours. Our player's thoughts and reflections on the game, it's direction, the fights, and our play in general. Details about where we've been, where we are, and where we're going. Most importantly, by coming here, you'll have a chance to see all of the exciting events and features we have coming up for our guild and the WoW community. It's all part of our larger network which we are making more involving and more transparent for everybody. Vodka has big and exciting plans for Cataclysm and we want you to be part of it and enjoy it with us.

Yes, all of you.

We feel like our community presence has been a large success and we hope that all of you enjoyed being able to follow us a bit through Wrath of the Lich King. There are however a lot of improvements we want to make to this.

We want better networking and relations with your guild. Does your guild have a youtube video or even a Youtube page like ours? We'd love know about it. Send us friend requests and subscribe. If your guild has a Youtube page as well, let us know and we'd like to subscribe to it. When we kill a boss, we'd love to see your kills too. Send it in as a video response and we could feature it and send viewers your way.
We want to give you more than just kill videos in Cataclysm. We have plans for multiple monthly or biweekly "shows" for you that will be available to watch on our Youtube page. A few of the ideas we're planning to implement and feature are applicant Interviews (with an interactive system where you can let us know if you think our new recruit/s will make it through their trial), guild reflections on upcoming changes and patches, in depth discussion on our player's intricate UI's (including how to set them up), and much more.
During Ulduar we created a Twitter account and page, but we did not use it very much. This is another aspect that will change in Cata. By following us on twitter, you'll be the absolute first to know when anything happens in and out of game. When a new blog post such as this goes up, or a new youtube video goes up, you can be alerted via Twitter and get the quick details. You'll also be the first to know when a new boss dies or anytime we're being active in the community like web interviews.

Overall, we're hoping to add a lot of new entertainment for all of our fans and friends to enjoy in Cataclysm. But, we know we can't please everybody. If there is something you'd like to know or want us to take a look at or implement just let us know. Tell us on our forums, on my blog right here, or on our Youtube page. We're excited to give you as much access to Vodka as possible in the coming months. The next blog post from me will go up when our Lich King video is released and will include my personal thoughts on the fight. This should be around Friday or Saturday May 7th or 8th. As of now the video should feature the POV of myself, Kinaesthesia playing Discipline and Killars playing Combat. It is a very exciting video to watch and a fairly clean kill as well. I won't reveal the exact music selection yet, but the artists involved are Ferry Corsten, Andy Moor, and BT.
